Method
- Preheat your oven to 275°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place pretzels in a large mixing bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together oil, honey, both mustards, mustard powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne if using.
- Pour the honey-mustard mixture over the pretzels and toss gently but thoroughly until evenly coated.
- Spread the pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, stir, then return to oven for another 15 minutes until the coating sets and pretzels are lightly toasted.
- Allow to cool completely before serving; they will crisp up as they cool.
Notes
For a spicier kick, double the cayenne and add red pepper flakes. To make them sweeter, add a tablespoon of brown sugar before baking. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
