Ingredients

  • 1 pound pretzel twists Snyder’s sourdough hard pretzels recommended
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for heat

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 275°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place pretzels in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together oil, honey, both mustards, mustard powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne if using.
  • Pour the honey-mustard mixture over the pretzels and toss gently but thoroughly until evenly coated.
  • Spread the pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, stir, then return to oven for another 15 minutes until the coating sets and pretzels are lightly toasted.
  • Allow to cool completely before serving; they will crisp up as they cool.

Notes

For a spicier kick, double the cayenne and add red pepper flakes. To make them sweeter, add a tablespoon of brown sugar before baking. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
