  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 2 tbsp blue cheese dressing or ranch (for garnish)
  • Fritos scoops, baguette slices, carrots, celery (for serving)

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • 1.5 qt baking dish or cast iron skillet
  • Oven

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, buffalo sauce, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Stir until fully combined.
  2. Spread mixture into a 1.5 qt baking dish. Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese. Bake at 350°F uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until melted and bubbly.
  3. Remove from oven and drizzle with blue cheese or ranch dressing. Serve warm with baguette slices, Fritos scoops, and/or carrots and celery.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for easy prep. Bake in a cast iron skillet to keep the dip warm longer. For extra heat, add hot sauce. Can be made in the oven, microwave, or slow cooker.
