- Add milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla, and salt to the crock pot. Whisk until smooth and fully combined.
- Stir in the milk chocolate chips and whisk again to distribute evenly.
- Set the crock pot to LOW and cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is silky smooth.
- Give the mixture a final whisk to ensure everything is well combined and smooth before serving.
- Keep on the WARM setting for serving. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream, marshmallows, or chocolate shavings.
Notes
Dairy-Free Option: Substitute 3 cans full-fat coconut milk, 1 ½ cups unsweetened almond milk, ¼ cup + 2 tbsp cocoa powder, ½ cup + 2 tbsp coconut sugar, ½ tsp kosher salt, and ⅓ cup dairy-free chocolate chips. Follow the same instructions.
