- In a large bowl, toss together cucumber, onion, vinegar, honey, and salt. Chill for 20 minutes.
- Transfer to a serving bowl, leaving excess water behind. Sprinkle with dill and chives if desired. Season with black pepper and serve.
Notes
Chill the salad for at least 20 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld. Add fresh chives for an extra layer of flavor and garnish. Best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days (drain any excess liquid before serving).
