  • 6 Roma or garden tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
  • 0.5 large yellow or red onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped or crushed
  • 1 lemon or lime, juiced
  • 1 cup loosely packed fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 pinch cumin (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt

Equipment

  • Blender or Food Processor
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse until chunky.
  2. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
  3. Refrigerate for at least one hour to let the flavors meld before serving.

Notes

The salsa may appear lighter in color due to the fresh tomatoes and blending air. It darkens slightly after resting. Chill for at least an hour before serving for best flavor.
