These Festive Green Cookies are soft, chewy, and fully loaded with semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and crushed Oreo cookies. Dyed a vibrant shamrock green, they’re the perfect eye-catching dessert for St. Patrick’s Day, Grinch-themed parties, or any festive celebration.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • green gel food coloring
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups Oreo cookies, crushed into chunks

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla, and green food coloring until evenly colored.
  3. Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt just until combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and crushed Oreos until evenly distributed.
  5. Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon portions and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are set and centers look slightly underbaked.
  7. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For the chewiest texture, remove cookies from the oven while the centers still look slightly underbaked. Gel food coloring is strongly recommended for vibrant color without altering dough texture.
