Ingredients

  • 1 Brie cheese wheel
  • 3 tablespoons red pepper jam
  • 2-3 tablespoons hot water
  • Flaky salt, optional
  • 1 Baguette, warmed and sliced

Equipment

  • Syringe
  • Mini cleaver (for garnish)
  • Parchment-lined baking sheet
  • Serving dish

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the brie on the parchment-lined sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, until softened but not fully melted.
  3. Meanwhile, mix red pepper jam with hot water, starting with 2 tbsp and adding more if needed, until a 'bloody' consistency is reached. Fill a syringe with the jam mixture.
  4. Carefully transfer baked brie to a serving dish. Spoon jam over the top, letting it drip down the sides. Sprinkle with flaky salt if using.
  5. Serve warm with baguette slices or crackers. Place syringe or mini cleaver into the brie for spooky presentation.

Notes

Adjust the jam 'blood' thickness with hot water to create dramatic drips. For extra spooky presentation, garnish with a mini cleaver or syringe on top. Serve immediately while the brie is warm and gooey.
