Method
- Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl to remove clumps.
- Add warm water and whisk using a bamboo whisk or frother until frothy.
- Stir in vanilla extract and sweetener (if using) into the matcha mixture.
- Fill a tall glass with ice and pour in the milk of your choice.
- Pour the matcha mixture over the milk and ice. Stir gently if desired, or enjoy layered.
Notes
For a floral twist, add 2–3 drops of lavender extract. To turn this into a protein shake, blend with vanilla protein powder and a frozen banana.
