Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 6 chicken breasts, thin sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 12 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 3 green onions, chopped

Equipment

  • skillet or griddletop
  • Tongs
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board

Method

  1. Bring a skillet or griddletop to medium-high heat. Fry the bacon until crispy and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Reserve the grease in the skillet and reduce heat to medium.
  2. Combine salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Sprinkle evenly over both sides of chicken breasts.
  3. Once heat is reduced, add chicken to skillet. Cook on one side for 8 minutes. Flip and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Spread about 2 tablespoons of ranch dressing on each piece of chicken. Place a slice of cheese on each, sprinkle half the bacon evenly, then top with another slice of cheese. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with remaining bacon and green onions. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra heat, add sliced jalapeƱos between cheese layers. Serve with roasted vegetables, salad, or garlic bread. Thinly sliced chicken ensures even cooking; adjust time if using thicker cuts. Use freshly cooked bacon for the best texture and flavor.
