Method
- Lightly coat a 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray for easier cleanup.
- Cut smoked kielbasa into uniform 1/2-inch rounds. Place all slices into the slow cooker.
- Add BBQ sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar to the sausage in the slow cooker.
- Stir well to coat all sausage pieces evenly in the BBQ mixture. Cover with lid.
- Cook on LOW for 2 hours or HIGH for 1 hour, stirring halfway through if possible. The sauce will bubble and thicken as the sausage heats through.
- Switch to WARM setting to keep hot during serving. Serve directly from the slow cooker with toothpicks for easy snacking.
Notes
Pro Tips: Use your favorite BBQ sauce—sweet, smoky, or spicy. If your BBQ sauce is very sweet, reduce brown sugar to 2 tablespoons. Avoid mustard-based sauces for best flavor. These bites are fully cooked and just need to heat through, so don’t overcook.
Serving Idea: Serve as an appetizer with toothpicks or over rice for an easy dinner. Great alongside mac and cheese, coleslaw, or cornbread.
