Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup vanilla non-dairy milk or regular milk
  • 1/4 cup vanilla non-dairy yogurt or regular yogurt (optional)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (or honey, agave, etc)
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Equipment

  • mason jar or sealed container

  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Add oats, milk, yogurt, maple syrup, chia seeds, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt to a jar. Stir well to combine and seal with a lid.
  2. Place jar in refrigerator overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
  3. In the morning, stir the oats and add a splash of milk if desired. Enjoy straight from the jar or transfer to a bowl.
  4. Add your favorite toppings such as fresh fruit, nut butter, or granola.

Notes

Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 3 days. Enjoy cold or slightly warmed. Toppings can include fresh fruit, nut butter, granola, or a scoop of protein powder for extra fuel.
