Equipment

  • Blender
  • Citrus juicer
  • Cocktail glass

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup or agave nectar
  • 1 cup ice if using fresh strawberries

Optional Garnishes

  • lime wheels or wedges
  • strawberry slices
  • salt, sugar, or tajin for rimming
  • mint sprigs

Instructions

  • Chill your margarita glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes.
  • Wash, hull, and quarter the strawberries if fresh; thaw slightly if frozen.
  • Run a lime wedge around the rim and dip in salt, sugar, or tajin if desired.
  • Add strawberries, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and sweetener to a blender.
  • Add ice (only if using fresh strawberries).
  • Blend until smooth and slushy, about 30–45 seconds.
  • Adjust with water or juice if too thick, or more ice if too thin.
  • Pour into chilled glass and garnish with strawberry and lime. Serve immediately.

Notes

Make a pitcher by multiplying ingredients. Add ice just before serving. Try flavor variations like strawberry-basil or spicy jalapeño. Use frozen berries for extra chill and less dilution.
