Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese (2 packages)
  • 1 1/2 cups pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/3 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bacon, cooked and diced
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • black olives (whole and halved, for decoration)

Equipment

  • Wax paper
  • stand mixer or hand mixer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Paring knife (optional, for serving)

Method

  1. Cook bacon until crisp, let cool, then dice. Let cream cheese soften at room temperature.
  2. Add cream cheese, pepper jack, green onions, bacon, and Worcestershire sauce to a mixing bowl. Mix well with a stand or hand mixer.
  3. Place mixture on wax paper and shape into a round ball using your hands.
  4. Decorate the cheese ball with black olives to create Jack Skellington’s face. Use whole olives for the eyes and halved slices for the stitched mouth.
  5. Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the cheese ball to set. Serve with crackers or homemade pumpkin tortilla chips.

Notes

Keep covered to prevent the outside from crusting. Let the cheese ball rest at room temperature before serving so chips don’t break when dipping. Be creative and swap in your favorite mix-ins! Leftovers should be refrigerated.
