Ingredients

  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal (or Kamut puffed cereal)
  • 6 oz white chocolate, roughly chopped (baking white chocolate such as Baker’s brand)
  • 24-36 pieces mini chocolate chips (for eyes)

Equipment

  • 9x13 inch pan
  • Parchment Paper
  • Double boiler or microwave-safe bowl
  • Mixing Spoon
  • Measuring cup (for pressing)
  • Sharp knife
  • Piping bag or plastic freezer bag

Method

  1. Grease and line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving 1–2 inch overhang on the long sides.
  2. Using a double boiler, melt marshmallows and butter together over medium heat. Stir in vanilla extract if using.
  3. Quickly mix in Rice Krispies cereal until coated. Press mixture firmly into prepared pan using a greased cup to flatten. Let sit 20–60 minutes to firm up.
  4. Remove from pan using parchment sling. With a warm knife, cut into 12–18 rectangular pieces.
  5. Melt white chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts until smooth. Transfer to piping bag or plastic bag with a corner snipped.
  6. Drizzle white chocolate over bars to resemble mummy bandages. Add mini chocolate chips as eyes while chocolate is still wet.
  7. Let set for 60 minutes or overnight before serving.

Notes

✅ Use Kamut puffed cereal for a healthier alternative.
✅ Don’t overheat white chocolate or it may seize.
✅ A piping bag or small freezer bag with the corner snipped off makes drizzling easy.
✅ Store at room temperature in an airtight container for 2–3 days.
